Mary R. Hulnick, Ph.D., is well known and highly regarded for her Mastery as a Spiritual Counsellor, Soul-Centered Mentor, and Master Facilitator of Awakening in Consciousness. She is known and beloved for her Spiritual Wisdom, Intuition, and Loving Presence. Mary’s life intention is serving the Greater Awakening that is taking place on the planet as a conduit of Spirit’s Light … Love … Sound … and Healing Grace. She has been described by those who know her as Unconditionally Loving, Deeply Compassionate, and a Guiding Light to those Awakening into the Remembrance of who or what they truly are,
Mary is Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer, Emerita, of the University of Santa Monica.
Though some like to refer to her simply as Magical, Mystical Mary. ♥
How It All Began
Through a series of auspicious events and Spirit-orchestrated synchronicities, Mary and her husband, Ron, met Spiritual Master and Teacher, John-Roger, who made them an offer they couldn’t refuse.

Ron and Mary accepted John-Roger’s invitation to participate in bringing forward a 21st century mystery school and began developing an ever-evolving curriculum in Spiritual Psychology designed to Awaken Remembrance of the Divine. The curriculum provided students with practical information, Soul-Centered Basic Skills, and experiential processes designed to support students in transforming their consciousness from the ego’s operating system inside the duality of good/bad and right/wrong, to the Soul’s operating system of Unconditional Loving, Wisdom, Compassion, Forgiveness, and a Learning Orientation to Life:
The USM Years
Dr. Mary R. Hulnick is recognized as a pioneer and respected leader in the field of Spiritual Psychology. Together with her life partner, Dr. H. Ronald Hulnick, she served as Founding Faculty and Co-Director of the University of Santa Monica, designing and facilitating experiential Soul-Centered Master’s Degree and Certificate Programs in Spiritual Psychology.
For more than 40 years, the University of Santa Monica under Mary and Ron’s leadership offered pioneering experiential educational Programs supporting more than 7,500 graduates in Awakening into the Awareness of who and what they truly are—Divine Beings having and using their human experience for the purpose of Awakening. The USM classroom was always known as a safe and sacred space within which deep Healing and the revelation of the True Self occurred. Graduates of the Program consistently report that experientially learning and integrating the Principles and Practices of Spiritual Psychology into their everyday lives has been truly life-changing—leading to a transformed consciousness and a transformed life.
Students share that being with Mary and Ron in the classroom, whether online or in person, is without exception one of the most transformational, Loving, and memorable experiences that they cherish as a Blessing of this lifetime.
A Message About Ron
Some of you are aware that Ron is experiencing what in physical reality is known as a progressive neurological condition that is affecting his memory and cognition. Spiritually, this condition is a kind of undoing through which his consciousness is elevating as it becomes increasingly untethered. These cognitive changes mean that while his consciousness is still quite extraordinary, it has become no longer possible for him to do the many daily tasks necessary to continue leading the University or facilitating classes. In recognition of Ron’s exemplary leadership and service, the Board of Trustees awarded him the title of President and Chief Executive Officer, Emeritus, of the University of Santa Monica. Currently, Ron enjoys regular visits with faithful friends, taking walks, and doing jigsaw puzzles to exercise his mind. Ron continues to walk the talk. His Way of Being is a teaching in Acceptance.

Throughout my Soul’s journey, Spirit has been molding the Golden Chalice of my Being. My deepest yearning has always been answering the call—living a life of service to the Divine. At last, I’ve sacrificed the ego’s story of the separate self, and I know no greater Joy than surrendering unto Living Love, serving as an instrument and assisting others in their Awakening.

You’ll never retire.’ There was silence in the room. He continued, ‘Yes, what you do will change. It’ll be like, you’ll wear white robes and people will come to be with you and simply to ask you questions. Know I am always with you.’
